The Asia-Pacific Housing Forum is a sector platform that gathers under one roof major stakeholders engaged in seeking solutions to poverty housing issues and promote affordable housing as a driver of economic growth.
It brings together policy-makers, academics, urban planners, architects, housing sector developers, non-governmental organizations, donor agencies, researchers, advocates, international organizations and others. Since its inception in 2007, the Housing Forum has brought together more than 3,400 people from over 52 countries.
Organized Habitat for Humanity, the event program has been developed with strategic support from Cities Alliance, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and UN-Habitat. Four preliminary events will be held in Cambodia, India, Indonesia and the Philippines, building to the main regional event in Hong Kong, which is expected to attract more than 300 delegates from across the world.
