  • CDB’s seminar on NGOs’ experience joining international networks coming this April

In recent years, the concepts of “Chinese NGOs going out” and the “globalisation of Chinese charity” have been gaining popularity and attracting government attention. While monitoring events regarding the globalisation of Chinese charity, we noticed that NGOs in numerous fields are engaged in international cooperation to various degrees, often through joining an international network. Nevertheless, there lacks an overarching horizontal channel to connect organisations to share their experience and discuss related matters.

As a pivotal platform for bilingual communications between charitable organisations, China Development Brief is dedicated to sharing and discussing relevant topics across fields and regions. China Development Brief will host a series of conferences on the “globalisation of Chinese charity” to better communicate this concept, catalyse cooperation and facilitate mutual understanding between civil society organisations. For the first time ever, this conference will approach this concept on an international level and streamline channels for internationalisation. This includes sharing experiences on joining international networks, evaluating pros and cons and how to make concrete impact, and prospecting future series on globalisation. CDB sincerely invites you to attend this conference.

Conference theme: Symposium of civil organisations sharing experience regarding the “globalisation of Chinese charity.”

Objectives of the conference: Encouraging civil organisations to reflect on and engage with the globalisation of Chinese charity, enhancing the understanding of international cooperation, and attracting more civil organisations and relevant government departments to support the globalisation of Chinese charity through dialogue.
