Job Description

Give2Asia Beijing Representative Office is soliciting applications for the full time position of Associate Program Manager, based in Beijing.

 

Give2Asia strengthens the work of Asia-based organizations by building partnerships and providing private funding to locally identified projects. These projects promote Education, Healthcare, Employment, Environmental Sustainability of Communities, and Disaster Resiliency.

 

Give2Asia was established in 2001 as a U.S.-based public charity to bring private international funding to charitable groups in Asia. The goal of Give2Asia’s funding has been to strengthen programs inside of countries that help society and overcome a variety of challenges that contribute to poverty. Give2Asia has raised a total of $350 million in gifts and donations from 15,000 corporates, foundations, and individual donors, supporting projects of 1,700 community partners in 23 Asian countries and regions.

 

So far, Give2Asia has provided over $117 million to support charitable programs for over 200 nonprofit organizations in mainland China, covering areas of education, public health, poverty alleviation and economic development, environmental protection, assistance for the disabled, promotion and preservation of traditional Chinese culture, disaster relief, capacity building for nonprofit organizations, investment on innovative projects, etc.

Associate Program Manager

Associate Program Manager will be responsible for managing G2A China programs on a wide range of program areas, providing donor stewardship and grant making related services, developing and delivering other advisory services, and providing support to the whole China team. Associate Program Manager will report to China Program Director.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Managing grants under the guidance of supervisor

  • To manage assigned programs/grants;
  • To develop, improve, and translate the project proposal and budget of assigned accounts with grantee partners;
  • To monitor the implementation of assigned programs implementation;
  • To review, improve, and translate program reports with grantee partners;
  • To facilitate high quality donor stewardship and grantee services;
  • To proactively identify and resolve problems around any issues that arise;
  • To carry out due diligence on potential grantees;
  • To increase the effectiveness and efficiency of G2A grant-making by constantly improving the grant-making process.
  • To participate G2A publicity activities when assigned.

 

Miscellaneous

  • To complete other tasks and duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ working experience, with minimum 2 years of professional experience in China philanthropic sector or multi-national corporates are required; in departments of philanthropy, social responsibility, or public affairs, are preferred;
  • University degree required and Master degree preferred. Degrees in international development, business or management, education, public health, political science, or related social science fields preferred but not required;
  • Demonstration of strong knowledge on the social issue and development in China, and dedication to China philanthropy sector in solving social issue;
  • Professional, proactive, responsive, and timely verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Advanced fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and able to manage multi-tasks with excellent quality in efficient working pace and dynamic environment;
  • Ability to travel periodically;
  • Excellent skills on Microsoft Office are required.
