Intern China Sustainable Cities Program WRI
The World Resources Institute (USA) Beijing Representative Office is looking for a highly self-motivated student to be research intern for research projects on electric mobility and sustainable transportation policies in WRI’s Sustainable Cities Program.
As a research intern, you will help provide research, data analysis, modeling, and outreach support to the Sustainable Cities program in China and Global offices, focusing on sustainable mobility, low-carbon and energy efficiency solutions. The intern will support several interdisciplinary and multi-group research projects on electric mobility and sustainable transportation policies in China, Vietnam and internationally. The term will be at least three months, with a minimum of 3 days per week.
Conduct literature reviews on academic papers
Conduct policy review and research on international electric mobility projects and roadmaps
Conduct data collection, data cleaning and processing, and support in constructing related models
Support other research activities per request
Translation and other administrative affairs (20%)
Assist in the translation per request
Provide administrative support per the request
Enrolled undergraduate (at least Junior) or graduate student towards a degree in Environment, Energy, Transportation, Economics or related majors
Experience with electric mobility research or implementation projects, a background on statistics, finance and policy analysis is a plus
Fluency in English (both written and spoken), working knowledge of Vietnamese is desirable
Response to request in a timely manner
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Be available for three months, with a minimum of 3 days per week
Flexibility to work in WRI’s Beijing office or remotely
Flexibility to call with WRI’s international offices
