research intern for the China Climate and Energy Program
The World Resources Institute (WRI) Beijing Office is seeking a highly self-motivated student to be a research intern for the China Climate and Energy Program.
Dedicate in desk research, gather, and interpret data, and execute analysis to translate into meaningful insights.
Draft summary and report regarding the insights of data and policy.
Copyedit and translate reports and working papers.
Present your findings to team members.
Other research activities per requests.
Enrolled in undergraduate (at least Junior) or graduate student with a degree in environment science, economics, public policy, or other related majors.
Familiar with climate change, energy, and environmental issues, or some relevant experience would be preferred (e.g., internships, research experience).
Good written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English.
A high level of self-motivation, independent and commitment.
The ability to analyze and work through complex problems.
Flexibility, resilience and intellectual curiosity.
The ability to learn quickly.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage change.
Salary: RMB 17.00/hour
Location: Dongcheng district, Beijing.
Starting date: August 2020; work at least 3 months and 3 days a week is required.
