Changing the way the world thinks about water
By building water awareness and distributing water-saving tools amongst 14- 24 year olds, Thirst aims to create a community that can effect real change in the realm of water-sustainability.Thirst’s main objective is to educate young people about the global water crisis, connect them with water issues and give them the tools they need to take action at home, at school and with their friends in the local community.Thirst is encouraging people to reconside water’s value on a global scale, and provides solutions that help individuals and corporations function in a more water-friendly world.Thirst is achieving this goal by mobilising a generation of water ambassadors through numerous projects, collaborations, and traditional and new-media visibility. Offline activities combined with long-term follower engagement on social media means China’s emerging Water-Wise Movement increases in both size and activity each year.
Collaborations with schools and universities, such as the On-Campus Water Dragon Campaign, has brought Thirst’s message to tens of thousands of Millennials (and tens of million’s more through media coverage) across China. Partnerships with corporates and non-profits has given Thirst the resources to increase its scope. Continuing endorsements from key opinion leaders and celebrities keep Thirst on the radar – and help establish the global water crisis as a relevant issue.
