  • Barry & Martin’s Trust helps to launch AIDS Care and Assistance Initiative in Jiangxi

The British foundation Barry & Martin’s Trust, in collaboration with the Nanchang Rainbow Health Advisory Public Services Center, recently launched the Jiangxi Province’s AIDS Care and Assistance Initiative. The British foundation will provide funding to improve medical treatment for AIDS, decrease mortality rates, and encourage more involvement from volunteers. It will also facilitate special talks and volunteer training activities, and establish cooperative relationships between relevant medical facilities.

Barry & Martin’s Trust is a charity established in 1996 to support HIV prevention, education and care in China. Martin Gordon, the founder of Barry & Martin’s Trust visited China in March 2018. Mr. Gordon and his group went to Yunnan and Jiangsu Province, visiting the Yunnan AIDS Care Center and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Wuxi, Jiangsu. They found out about the current status of AIDS and the efforts to prevent it in China, and Martin appraised the efforts that the medical institutions, the government, and social groups had made in fighting with AIDS.
