  • First China Charity Credit List Released

On the 3rd of September, a press conference was held in Tsinghua University to mark the release of the China’s Top Trustworthy Charities of 2018, China’s first charity credit list.

The list was jointly completed by the Tsinghua University Charity Research Institute and the Beijing Yishan Credit Management Company. The former is one of the most authoritative research institutes in the charity industry in China, and the latter is a professional credit management company with more than 10 years of experience in the field of philanthropy data.

The list was developed with a sample of more than 4,000 charitable organizations, and 60 organizations were selected to be the top trustworthy ones based on an evaluation model with five indicators: transparency, financial capacity and team capability, network of partners, cooperative risk and brand popularity.

Due to the different fundraising types, the list includes two sub-lists. One is the top 30 government-funded fundraising charities, and the other is the top 30 grassroots fundraising charities. We list the top five of each below, for the complete rankings click here.
